Contestant Registration


Please complete the following information to register your team for the BBQ competition at Smoke in the Grove 2018 - July 27 & 28.

Entry fees are $250 per team for a 20 x 20 space. Larger spaces available for additional fee.  The registration fees can be paid via PayPal.  You will be redirected to PayPal upon clicking submit below.

Space Size: Please select your preferred space size. Spaces will have minimum (1) - 30 Amp Outlet and (1) water connection within 50 feet.*
Port-o-Pot: Please indicate if you would like a port-o-pot placed in your space at a cost of $90.

People's Choice • Contestant will be given one pork butt of approximately eight pounds each. • A volunteer will deliver the pork butts no later than 4:00 PM on Friday July 27. • Contestant will be given a half pan with lid for turn in. • Turn in will be Saturday from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the park pavilion. • Pork must be cooked to a minimum of 165 degrees. • Contestant may sauce (or not) pork to their liking. • Entries will be renumbered and randomized for public sale. • Samples will be sold to public between 11:00AM-3:30PM. • Voting will be via text message (number will be posted around the serving area) • Voting will conclude at 3:30PM. • Contestants will be revealed at 4:00PM to the public. • Winners will be announced during award ceremony at 4:30PM. • 1st- $300-Trophy • 2nd-$150-Trophy • 3rd-$75-Trophy • Proceeds benefit Spring Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.

By clicking submit the undersigned, individually and/or on behalf of the Company/Organization does hereby discharge, release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Borough of Spring Grove, Spring Grove Regional Parks and Recreation and the Spring Grove Chamber of Commerce its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, and all other sponsoring organizations from any and all manner of actions, suits, damages or claims whatsoever arising from any loss or damage to the person or property of the undersigned and the undersigned's employees, volunteers, representatives or agents while in possession of the vendor space or participating in the SMOKE IN THE GROVE event.

Cancellations: Full refund (less any fees) until June 1, 2018, 50% (less any fees) until July 1, 2018, No refunds after July 1, 2018.
